Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a non-drug, non-hypnosis psychotherapy procedure for
survivors of trauma or loss. Traumatic events may include car or work accident, assault, robbery, rape, childhood abuse, natural disaster, injury or illness or loss of loved one. EMDR is used to treat troubling symptoms such as anxiety or panic, depression, shame or guilt, bad temper, fears, nightmares, worrying and post-traumatic reactions. EMDR services are available for both adults and children.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a well-researched model of treatment, developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, which helps individuals who struggle with issues like anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders and self-harming
behaviors by providing concrete skills necessary to improve relationships and enhance overall quality of daily living.
Art & Play therapy techniques use play-based models to better communicate with children. Children and younger Adolescents communicate thoughts and feelings more naturally through play. Art & Play therapy helps treat problems that interrupt a child’s
normal development. Some reasons for treatment include temper tantrums, aggressive behavior, difficulties with
sleeping or having nightmares and experiencing excessive worries or fears.
